The "artistic" image of a Cross is a good example of what modern graphics software can do to allow you to make dramatic changes. The small image on the right is the original snap. This was taken on a small flip Alcatel phone at Goodameavy. The quality of this camera is very low but does not mean it cannot be useful if that's all you have at hand.

The main problem initially was to get rid of the telephone pole. This is quite a simple process and required the use of the Clone Brush. You simply find something on the photo to paint (clone) on the required section. So a bit of sky on the top of the pole and some grass  and bushes on the bottom part. The rest is just colourisation, edge enhancements and some painting effects. Pretty simple stuff.
