Whilst walking between Penzance and Marizion you see this piece of artwork, made out of discarded items. A really great piece of work, that is some location, brilliant idea in the first place, perfect understanding of the materials used. The shape of the bird's head almost looks like the shape of St Michael's Mount.

There was something else we noticed. Some marks on  a piece of scrap used reminded me of John Hurt in the film "The Elephant Man", the remarkable story of Joseph (John) Merrick. It is interesting that the artist can not only plan the concept and execute the process to make it tangible to the viewer, but there may be some serendipity at work as well.
